Currently, Buncombe County is under a state of emergency. We are working tirelessly with federal, state and county officials to receive the necessary resources for Mama Gertie’s Hideaway Campground. The Western Carolinas, particularly Asheville, Swannanoa, and Black Mountain have suffered devasting losses and it will take time for the infrastructure to be repaired or in many cases replaced.
Electricity, telephones, and internet are still unavailable. Cell service is unreliable as the networks are prioritizing emergency services.
We ask that you please be patient, as we work to get our reservation and accounting systems back online. While some individuals and businesses resort to practices designed to take advantage of the situation, our current booking, cancellation, and refund policies remain the same as always.

customers as our services are reinstated.
At this time, we cannot predict when we will be able to reopen. We have a sister park one hour west of Asheville, in Franklin, NC, The Great Outdoors RV Resort. The park and Town of Franklin are doing well. If you have a pending reservation at Mama Gertie’s, we may have availability to transfer your reservation to Great Outdoors.
